My Goals for 2025
The New Year is almost here! My favorite part of a new year is dreaming about all the possibilities of things to focus on, shift, or start! I often have projects in the back of my mind that I would love to experiment with but don’t make time for. Usually, I start out strong and as the year goes on, things settle into a routine and my priorities shift. Don’t get discouraged! Though it might sound cliche, little steps every day do make a difference! Even though I don’t prioritize my passion projects throughout the year, I still enjoy working on them in little bits as time allows and eventually, it does build up into something!
That being said, here are some goals and dreams that could happen in 2025. I encourage you to brainstorm you’re own!
1. Start an Instagram account for design things and get clients
I would love to start posting consistently and start getting some clients as a designer! Obviously, I won’t have as much time with college things but I plan to start early. I would love to have it as a part-time job during college.
2. Start a Youtube channel
I’ve been thinking about this for a year or so and I think it would be so fun to make vlogs of day to day life. I would love to add my own unique twist through my quirky personality and incorporating my faith in a way that’s different from other Youtubers. I would even enjoy videos that are like these blog post but in video form. I’m not interested so much in MrBeast challenges or doing random embarrassing things on camera but I think a personal vlog would be really fun!
3. Design internship
I’m working towards this now but I would love to have a design-centered internship this summer! I would prefer something more flexible or part-time since I also want to take some classes over the summer.
4. Start planning for senior year
I know this is insane but I have been thinking about life after college especially if I want to graduate a year early. I would need to find a job, a place to live, and I still don’t own a car. That all seems very daunting especially from a financial perspective but continuing to pray about it and work hard where I‘m at to pursue it.
