Designing My Dream Brand: Personal Style Meets Professional Goals
I love experimenting with colors and branding and it is especially fun to create branding that I have a personal preference for!
My first step when creating my own branding is to look at my Pinterest account. As an active Pinterest user, I have thousands of pins saved and I searched for patterns and colors that stuck out to me!

Here is what I first see when I open Pinterest and I actually think it encapsulates my style pretty well! It has soft, natural colors that I’m attracted to, hints of floral and vintage accents. It also has a picture of Kermit which I love so much because I am a silly person. The outliers are the photo of crocheted Christmas cookies because it’s Christmas time and I was recently making a holiday board haha. Also, you have to appreciate the baby birks (Birkenstocks)…even though this ad is definitely meant for moms or Aunts to see I love tiny things and these are just the cutest.
Next, I searched for a color palette that encapsulates this vibe and eventually landed on this one!

I love this palette because of the warm tones, cohesiveness, and I am personally just obsessed with these colors currently it’s hard to explain. It reminds me of brown sugar, a warm drink, a soft teddy bear, and flowers. It doesn’t get much better than that.
Next, I searched for vintage fonts.

I loved the combination of a bolder sans serif font paired with a script font, and after experimenting I landed on this!

Finally, I searched for images that went well with the brand and the idea. Here is a sample of a few!

This was really fun to explore! Obviously, there are many layers to developing a brand beyond the visual aspect, but I wanted to showcase the visual aspect because it’s the most fun!
